Privacy Policy

This policy explains what YouGCTube (“we”) collects when you use yougctube.com, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your email address and name. If you sign up with a password, we store only a salted hash of it, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, email address and name.
• What you put in the studio: product details and photos, uploaded videos and images, scripts, voice settings, and the videos you make, edit, review and approve.
• Payments: Stripe processes your card. We never see or store your card number. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan, and a record of what you bought.
• Connected accounts: when you connect TikTok, YouTube or Vibe, we store the access tokens those services issue so we can act for you, along with basic account details (see section 4).
• Technical data: the IP address of each request, used to limit abuse, and server logs of errors.
• Messages: emails we send you, such as confirmations and password resets, and anything you send to us.

2. How we use it

• to run your account and the studio, including making, editing and delivering your videos;
• to post or send videos to the accounts you connect, only when you choose to or have turned that on;
• to take payments and keep track of your plan and credits;
• to send emails about your account, such as sign-in confirmations, password resets and receipts;
• to keep YouGCTube secure and prevent misuse, including checking scripts and generated speech against our content rules;
• to follow the law.

We do not use your content to train AI models.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run YouGCTube, and only what each one needs.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

4. TikTok and other connected accounts

Connecting a TikTok account is optional. When you connect one:

• What we receive from TikTok: your account’s open ID, display name, username and avatar; your posting settings, such as which privacy options your account allows; and access and refresh tokens that let us post for you.
• How we use it: only to show which account a video will go to, to post the videos you choose with the privacy and interaction settings you pick, to send approved videos to your TikTok drafts if you turn that on, and to show whether a post succeeded. Posts are labelled as AI-generated.
• What we don’t do: we do not read your TikTok videos, followers, messages or analytics, and we do not post anything you have not chosen or approved.
• Disconnecting: when you press Disconnect on Connected accounts, we ask TikTok to revoke the connection and delete the tokens we held. You can also remove YouGCTube in TikTok’s own settings.

YouTube and Vibe work the same way: we keep only the tokens and details needed to publish or run what you ask for, and disconnecting removes them.

5. Customer lists for TV ads

If you upload customer email addresses to build a TV-ad audience, each address is turned into a one-way hash on our server and only the hashes are sent to Vibe for matching. We do not keep the list of addresses. You must have permission to use those addresses for advertising.

7. How long we keep it

• We keep your account and content while your account is open.
• You can delete your account yourself on the Account page, or ask us to. Deleting it cancels your subscription, disconnects your connected accounts, and removes your account details, content and tokens from our systems straight away. Anything left in backups is gone within 30 days.
• Stripe keeps its records of your payments for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Server logs are kept for a short time for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your personal information, or to stop a particular use of it, by emailing hello@yougctube.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act give you these rights, and the right to complain to a data protection authority. We will answer within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking.

You can disconnect any connected account yourself at any time, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails with the link in them.

9. Security

Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Keys and connection tokens are kept on our servers with access restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

YouGCTube is run from the United States, and information is processed there.

10. Children

YouGCTube is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the studio before the change takes effect.
